About Us

History of the Cemetery

On June 30, 1940, E. W. and Eva Winters  donated the land that is located directly behind Red Springs Baptist Church to create a free cemetery for the Red Springs community.  John Wheeler, E.W.'s brother, was buried the next day and was the first burial in the cemetery.  The cemetery is located North of Tyler, just to the West of the intersection of FM 14 and FM 16. The cemetery is maintained primarily by donations.
